Who is responsible

What we collect
We collect your name, email address, occupation or course, applicant category, equipment interests, preferred times, expected usage, pricing preferences and any optional project or enquiry details you provide. We also record the request type, submission time and the privacy notice version accompanying your consent. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential designs.
How we use it
With your consent, we use your details to respond to your request, discuss suitable lab access or events, and understand demand for the lab. This permission covers communication about your lab interest, not unrelated marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@nwatt.uk. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Storage and access
Submissions are saved in a private database on our Hostinger hosting account, outside the public website directory. Personal and project details are encrypted in that database. Authorised NWATT staff can read them through a password-protected inbox and export them for follow-up. We do not sell your information.
Hostinger supplies hosting, security and delivery infrastructure. Hosting support and infrastructure may involve international processing under its data-processing arrangements. See Hostinger’s privacy information, or contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data. A copy of your submission is emailed to info@nwatt.uk so the NWATT team can follow up. It includes your answers and a link to the saved record in the private inbox. Your email address is used as the reply-to address.
Retention and deletion
We remove interest submissions from the active database within 180 days unless you separately enter a new relationship with NWATT. You can ask us to delete your interest sooner. Expired records are removed by an hourly maintenance process. Restricted hosting backups, where retained by the hosting service, age out under the provider’s backup cycle; they are not used for routine follow-up. Any restored data must be checked against expiry and deletion requests before reuse.
Email copies fall under the same 180-day retention policy. Deletion requests cover both the saved record and any email copy held by NWATT.
Keeping the form secure
We use essential, session-only security cookies for form protection and staff sign-in. They are not used for advertising. We briefly store a keyed hash of the network address to limit abuse; the lead database does not store raw network addresses. Hosting security logs may contain network addresses under the provider’s security and retention policies. We use minimal audit records to track authorised inbox actions and maintain security, on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting this service.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your information, withdraw consent, and exercise other applicable rights, including portability where applicable and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Email info@nwatt.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
No automated membership decision
Submitting interest does not create a paid membership or confirm a booking. Staff review requests; this form does not make automated decisions about membership eligibility. Payments, member accounts and facility-access services will have their own information when introduced.
